Testimony Aldo, Fajar and Gibran
Aldo, Fajar and Gibran are siblings from the same mother, but different fathers, all from another religion. They don't even know who their biological parents are as their parents never cared for them - they were adopted by a family that had no children before.
However, a few years after they were adopted, their adoptive parents had biological children, and their affection began to fade towards these three siblings. The father forced these boys - just 7, 5 and 3 - to work all day going through the jungle, finding vegetables and fruit to sell to other people. What’s more, these little boys were only provided one meal a day - all other meals they had to find themselves! Eventually, their adoptive father heard about Living Waters Village, and travelled three days to come take these children to this place, as they were unwanted.
These children did not get any love from their biological parents, nor any real love from their adoptive parents, but when they came to Living Waters Village, for the first time in their lives they learn about real, unconditional love - from those who look after them by providing food and everything else they need, and those who teach them about the unconditional and eternal love of God here too.
Gibran, aged 5 now, will start school very soon, something not possible for him in his village. What’s more, before he got no attention from his own parents, but now this little 5 year old gets a lot of attention from all the other people in this place.
Aldo absolutely loves to help everyone around - he will always bring things to the table for whoever needs them, including extra chairs for unexpected guests and high-chairs for babies - all without even being asked! How amazing it is that boys who from their families never experienced care and compassion, can show it towards others! But that’s truly how God works in the lives of the children here - no matter what darkness has previously been in their lives, He gives them hope, joy and a heart for others that can only come from an all-powerful and wonderful God.
